SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber

SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber

When your workpiece is too big for a machine, you need a room. The SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber is a turnkey facility designed for the manual or robotic cleaning of massive structures, from railway wagons and shipping containers to heavy earth-moving equipment.

Unlike temporary enclosures, this is a permanent industrial asset. It features a fully automated floor recovery system that continuously collects, cleans, and recycles the abrasive media (steel shot, corundum, or glass beads), allowing your operators to blast continuously without stopping to shovel waste. With excellent LED lighting and powerful downdraft ventilation, it ensures optimal visibility and safety for your team.

The SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber is engineered for the heaviest segment of the surface preparation market. It provides a controlled, environmentally compliant environment for blasting parts that simply do not fit in standard turbine machines.

The EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber Advantage. Efficiency in a blast room is defined by how fast you can recover media. This shotblasting machine utilises a Scraper Floor System that requires minimal foundation depth.

  • Continuous Recycling: A network of pneumatic or mechanical scrapers beneath the floor grating moves used abrasive to a transverse screw conveyor.
  • Media Purification: The abrasive is transported to a bucket elevator and passed through an air-wash separator to remove dust and fines. Only clean, correctly sized abrasive is returned to the blast pot, ensuring faster cutting speeds and a consistent profile.

Operational Flexibility. The room is designed around your logistics:

  • Material Handling: Can be equipped with heavy-duty rail trolleys for floor loading or integrated with overhead monorails for suspended parts.
  • Versatile Media: Compatible with steel grit for aggressive descaling or glass beads/corundum for stainless steel finishing.
  • Automation Ready: While designed for manual blasting, the room can be fitted with multi-axis robots for dangerous or repetitive blasting tasks, keeping operators out of harm’s way.

Key Features & Customisation

  • Superior Visibility: Fresh air enters through ceiling baffles and is extracted through wall vents, creating a constant downdraft that pulls dust away from the operator’s visor.
  • Dust Filtration: Connected to our high-efficiency EdgeBlast Manual Shotblasting Chamber cartridge dust collectors to ensure zero emissions back into the factory.
  • Custom Dimensions: There is no “standard” size. Every room is modular and built to the exact length, width, and height required by your largest workpiece.
