SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Continuous Hook Shotblasting Machine

SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Continuous Hook Shotblasting Machine

When batch processing isn’t fast enough, the SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Continuous Hook takes over. Designed for high-productivity environments, this machine utilises a continuous overhead rail system (Monorail or Power & Free) to move heavy workloads through the blast zone without stopping.

Unlike standard hook machines that require manual loading and unloading downtime, the EdgeBlast Continuous Hook allows for a constant flow of parts. One cluster enters the tunnel while another exits, ensuring the turbines are always working and production never stalls. Ideal for automotive components, fragile castings, and welded structures, it delivers a uniform finish while protecting parts from impact damage.

In mass production industries like automotive manufacturing and large-scale founding, “dead time” is the enemy. The SUPERIOR EdgeBlast Continuous Hook Shotblasting Machine eliminates bottlenecks by replacing static batch processing with a dynamic, continuous flow loop.

The EdgeBlast Continuous Hook Advantage. The system is built around a heavy-duty overhead transport rail that can be configured as a simple Monorail or a sophisticated Power & Free system. This flexibility allows the machine to solve complex logistical challenges, transporting parts directly from casting or cooling lines into the blast chamber without manual intervention.

How It Works

  • Continuous Feed: Parts are hung on rotating hooks fixed to trolleys. As one cluster enters the inlet vestibule, the blasting cycle activates immediately.
  • Uniform Coverage: While moving through the blast zone, the hooks rotate and oscillate in the path of the turbine jets. This “tact principle” ensures that complex geometries, such as engine blocks, transmission cases, and welded frames, receive 360° coverage without parts striking one another.
  • Zero Downtime: As the finished cluster exits the machine, a new cluster automatically enters from the opposite side, maintaining a continuous production rhythm.

Key Features & Customisation

  • Double Productivity: The system can be upgraded into a “double machine” configuration, doubling the number of blasting spots to handle extreme production volumes.
  • Sand & Core Removal: Specifically engineered for foundries, the EdgeBlast Continuous Hook effectively removes foundry sand and cores from castings.
  • Advanced Separation: Available with optional magnetic separators and vibrating screeners to ensure clean abrasive recycling, crucial when processing sand-heavy castings.
  • Intelligent Control: Turbines can be equipped with frequency regulators to adjust blast intensity, making the machine gentle enough for aluminium yet powerful enough for forged steel.
