The LBL is a specialised machine designed for the continuous production of welded I and T beams, whether parallel or tapered, with the web plate positioned vertically. Unlike traditional methods, it requires no tack welding except at the leading edge after the web is aligned with the flange’s centerline. The process begins with feeding the web and first flange into the machine, where simultaneous welding on both sides of the web ensures full-length seam integrity. Once the first flange is welded, the section is rotated 180°, and the alignment and welding process is repeated for the second flange.
Larger versions of the LBL are available—contact us for more details.
