The first criterion when evaluating 3-roll bending machines is the way in which the rolls are arranged and adjusted. With the HAEUSLER HDR, the bottom rollers can be adjusted linearly in the horizontal direction independently of one another, the top roller can be adjusted vertically. All rollers are driven and can be tilted for cone bending.
This functional principle offers, compared to all other 3-roll machines, considerable advantages in terms of minimizing the bending lengths, bending quality and workpiece handling. In addition, the HDR system is the only concept in which the bending geometry can be set very variably. This means that the deformable wall thicknesses can be set according to the position of the lower roller within the performance spectrum of the machine.
The smaller the asymmetry of the bottom rollers to the top roller, the greater the wall thickness and the bending length. The maximum deformable wall thickness results from the symmetrical position of the bottom rollers. Thanks to this functional principle, even the thickest sheets can be bent with relatively low forces, making them extremely economical.
