In the competitive world of structural steel, whether you are building transmission towers, overhead cranes, or stadium trusses, margin is made in the details. Every minute your crew spends measuring a hole location or swapping a punch die is profit leaking out of your shop.
The GPM CNC Angle Line stops the leak. It is a fully automated workcell that takes raw angle lengths (up to 40 ft+) and processes them into finished, stamped, and accurate components ready for the job site.
Three Machines in One
The GPM Series replaces your ironworker, your band saw, and your layout table.
- Marking Station: Before any cutting happens, the machine stamps the part number onto the angle leg using a high-tonnage hydraulic marker. This ensures traceability from the shop floor to erection.
- Dual-Leg Punching: Equipped with up to 3 independent punch stations per leg (6 total). You can mix round and slotted punches or different diameters. The CNC system automatically selects the right tool for the hole, allowing you to process complex hole patterns without stopping for tool changes.
- Precision Shearing: The heavy-duty shear station cuts the part to exact length. Our single-blade shear design (on standard models) minimises kerf loss and deformation, giving you a clean edge that often needs no deburring.
Speed Meets Precision
- Fast Feeding: The CNC carriage drives material at speeds up to 130 ft/min (40m/min).
- Simultaneous Operations: The machine optimises the path, often punching both legs simultaneously to maximise throughput, achieving rates of over 1,000 holes per hour.
- Accuracy: Linear guides and servo-driven feeding ensure hole-to-hole accuracy that manual layout simply cannot match. Your field crews will thank you when the bolts slide right in.
Built for Heavy Duty
- Rigid Frame: The closed-frame punching and marking units are engineered to withstand hundreds of tons of force without flexing, ensuring tool longevity.
- Automated Material Handling: Includes a transverse loading table that automatically feeds the next bar when the current one is finished, allowing one operator to manage the entire line.
