High-Speed Carbide Performance

Forget the slow chug of high-speed steel (HSS) twist drills. The Beamx is equipped with a high-torque 20 HP Direct Drive Spindle capable of 4,000 RPM. This allows you to use modern carbide insert tooling, punching through flanges and webs in seconds rather than minutes.

  • Through-Spindle Coolant: An MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) mist system shoots coolant directly to the cutting tip, extending tool life and keeping your shop floor dry.

More Than Just a Drill

This machine is a complete fabrication centre.

  • Drilling: Holes up to 1-9/16″ (40mm).
  • Milling: Cut slots and oversized holes effortlessly.
  • Tapping: Thread holes up to M27 automatically.

Intelligent “Sub-Axis” Efficiency

On lesser machines, every time you need to drill a new hole, you have to unclamp the beam, move it, and reclamp. The Beamx features a 10-inch (250mm) Sub-Axis. This means the drill head can travel along the beam to drill an entire 4-bolt or 6-bolt cluster while the beam stays securely clamped. This drastically reduces cycle time and improves accuracy.
